History of AMO

AMO Foundation started simply as a dream, a vision, a simple act of faith and a total complete obedience.
It was early 2000 in Philippines, that God placed the vision in the heart of Bishop Ariel Acuña, the President of Asian Mission Outreach Foundation. In the midst of impossibilities and lack of resources, the President never wavered in unbelief, but instead the dreams and vision to take the Gospel of Christ and bring a holistic national transformation in the whole region of Asia and the rest of the world become more alive in his heart and kept burning for the vision. He made it sure that his actions are in line and according to what he believes in. He literally did what Habbakuk 2:2 says, “to write the vision and make it plain on tablets”. As a step of faith, he printed out about hundreds of brochures and distributed to people. It didn’t matter if people believe it, or embrace the vision that God gave him. What matters most to him is that he knew it’s from God and it will come to pass.
In March 7, 2013 the dreams and vision became a reality. Asian Mission Outreach Foundation was formally registered in Chiang Rai, Thailand. It exists and operates to fulfill the God-given mandate and fulfill the destiny of many believers, workers and the Body of Christ alike. Revolutionizing the church in the area of evangelism and church planting through empowering individual, indigenous people group, discipleship, holistic community services, and development.”
Asian Mission Outreach Foundation is a non-profit, non-stock organization . An organization which is seriously and passionately, “Turning the Mission Field to become a Mission Force and standing and believing that ASIA WILL NO LONGER BE UNREACHED.”

The Founder of Asian Mission Outreach Foundation, Bishop Ariel and Ptra Maria Paz Acuña are in the full-time ministry for the past 28 years with their two children, Arielle Marie Faith and David Kasher Acuña. In the year 2000, after planting several churches and Bible schools in the Philippines (including Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm), they began to travel on short-term missions in Asia. During this 15-years of their ministry, they taught in Bible schools, led evangelistic crusades and conducted leadership conferences throughout Southeast Asia. On May 31, 2006, the family took a big step of faith and moved to Thailand as full-time missionaries. Their first ministries in Thailand were focused on pioneering Mobile Bible school and Children ministry. Moreover, God began to open doors across the whole nation of Thailand and its neighboring countries. They moved to Chiang Rai, which is in the northern part of Thailand. As they faithfully served the Lord over the span of 13 years, their vision in seeing AMO Foundation become reality was established. It was registered as a legal entity in Thailand on March 7, 2013. Its base is located in the heart of Southeast Asia.
